Hi Jon, The most recent Steinway C are very warm and nice pianos, larger basses than the B and a clear treble. They are not that appreciated by artists here I suspect because they carry far less than the D. They seem well suited for a small auditorium, and chamber music, much less for concertos. Despite some still uncorrected flaws in the plate design that make some inconsistency in the killer zone, they are very fine instruments. Pianist here prefer the Hamburg B mostly, but some C are really beautiful. Hope all is well for you. Best Regards. Isaac OLEG Isaac OLEG Entretien et reparation de pianos.
