Alan, Rutgers has an an upholstery shop which is part of the facilities maintenance department. I take the bench apart and bring them the top to reupholster. The shop is not common knowledge around here. I happened to find out about it's existence from one of my customers. Dig around, you never know what might be hidden in the university's maintenance structure.
