Avery, We own a grand piano transporter from Jansen the use of which is by far the simplest and most effective way to get those trucks under concert or other grands. The transporter is rather pricey but we use the dang thing all the time for both moving pianos around and for doing leg and caster repairs. Beg borrow or steal one. I can install one of those trucks under a concert grand by myself in less than half an hour. A big advantage is that you can adjust and tighten all bolts while the piano is hovering a couple of inches above the truck then just drop it down. There are places here (atriums, etc.) where we can move grands without knocking them down using this tool. Saves a lot of time and moving money. We're buying two for our 'D's in the major hall here and I've never had to install one under that large a piano. I could hire my movers to do them but if I could do it myself (with help, of course) I'd rather not spend the money. If someone could furnish me with a possible subject line, I'd also be more than willing to search for this in the archives. Surely it's been discussed in the last several years. :-) Thanks for the help, either way.
