I got the following request for an opinion. I've never had any contact whatever
with Suzuki pianos. Anyone have enough experience to offer an opinion?

Hello Fred Sturm,

I'm Celeste Chiam, not sure if you remember me, but I was a graduate piano
student at UNM from 2001-2003 with Falko Steinbach. Currently, I am in
Kansas and will be applying for the DMA program at UMKC.

I'm looking to buy a baby grand piano (5 ft) and I need your opinion. I
wrote an email to Don McKechnie inquiring about grand pianos. I knew him
while I was an undergrad at Ithaca College. He gave me great information
but couldn't really answer one question. It's in regards to the new Suzuki
Acoustic grand pianos.

The Suzuki pianos I read on the internet are new. I called a store near my
place and they happen to be ordering some end of this month. So far, it
seems very attractive in terms of the materials used to build it, and that's
according to this website if you're interested on reading about them:

http://www.suzukimusic.com/acousticpianos/pages/grands.html

As this will be an expensive and important investment, I would appreciate it
if you can give me some advice about the Suzuki piano before I make my
decision.

Thank you very much,

Celeste Chiam
