Well, Elwood, I think you're going to have to tell us what kind of "untempered scale" you mean to begin with. A Pythagorean with (mostly) pure fifths and very large thirds (tempered wide of pure thirds)? A just intonation scale with pure thirds and pure fifths, i.e. pure triads, such as a good barbershop quartet might sing (but you will need a lot more than 12 notes to manage to have pure triads in all keys)? Or do you mean a "pure" un-stretched equal temperament such as might occur on an electronic organ (which would need adjustments if tuned on a piano)? Or something else?
