I think that the first Yamaha 9' were called C-1. I've worked on this particular piano about 3 years ago being part of Yamaha Canada Technical Tour. I don't remember for sure if the piano is C-1 or CF-1, but I was told by an older Yamaha tech that there used to be a model that was C-1. This might not answer your question, but it's what I know.
