Does anyone know the answer for J.Murphy's question. This question came from
the "ask the experts" list of PTG.

I am doing a school project on steel and was wondering ...
What grade of steel is most commonly used (or always used(?)) to make piano
strings(-i am mainly talking about the higher ones (not bass), if there is a
difference, as they do not have the wrapping, and i need to write about the
steel only.)
Thankyou,
J murphy
