Hey, Mike I'm no chemist, but it sounds like the ammonia in the cat urine reacted with the finish somehow. Sounds like you're in for a refinishing job, if just putting up with it isn't an option. Febreze is good at getting the smell out, but I don't know of anything that will repair that kind of damage. Ken Z.
