Hi Brad, One tought, the reason that the head became loose in the first place might have been that the hole and threads in the head were not deep enough. This causes the shaft to bottom out before the threads fully grip and tighten on all of the thread. If the thread is now loose the damage has already been done to BOTH parts and using 'Threadlocker' red may be the only salvage to head and shaft. You will need to think about that repair as you will not want to plan on removing the head from the shaft ever again. If the threads are stripped off, the head can be silver soldered to the shaft by a band instrument repair tech. As with any glue application there is usually no second chance to use another method. The threads used on most tuning levers are a standard 1/8" pipe thread which is a tapered thread.
