Dear Fellow Techs,

The Teacher Relations committee has been asked to prepare a "how to"
presentation to encourage PTG groups or individuals to interact with =
piano
teachers and the general pubic. The current "Presenting Programs to
Teachers" publication is the start for this presentation. This =
publication
is available in the original Chapter Tool Kits which each chapter should
have. Check with your local big wigs.

What the committee is calling for now is any additional information you
might be willing to contribute.

This information may include but not be limited to:

1.Any programs/classes for teachers by chapters or individuals. (bonus
points for having it available on Power Point or Word file)

2. Experience with running a PTG booth at a local, state or regional =
MTNA
type convention.

3. Books you may have read about piano history, trivia, maintenance =
(fact
Piano Roles or fiction The Piano shop on the Left Bank). Helpful =
magazine
articles from any source.

4. Have you seen an industry presentation (Factory tour type DVD/VHS

tapes) you thought would be of interest to a less technically minded =
group?
Any industry contact person who was helpful to you when preparing such a
presentation?

5. For Extra bonus points (can be used toward earning one of the famous
bourbon soaked Holiday Cakes)

Persons willing to be listed in the "Presenting Programs to Teachers"
publication under the heading PTG Resource People. (the publication
designates these persons as "... some PTG members who have worked with =
music
teachers in their communities or have relevant experience in teacher
relations.")

Which format would be most helpful to you or your chapter? Power Point, =
3x5
note cards with overhead transparencies, other??

Are you aware of any scholarships offered by chapter, state or regional
organizations to teachers? How were they presented?

Please respond to the PTG teacher Relations address below.

Thank you,

Elizabeth Ward, RPT
