I use regular dish soap and water with "soft" paper towels on
satin lacquer finish, wiping with the grain. Then finish off
with a damp non-soapy paper towel, followed by a dry paper
towel, again going with the grain, to buff off the remaing water.

Our older D on stage has a lot of hand and finger prints all
over the sides of the case. It is looking really bad. Even
students are complaining. How can I remove them and make the
case look better?
