That is exactly what I do, except I use old hand towels.  The dish soap 
has the grease cutting power I like.  I have two buckets I carry with 
me for the soapy and clean water.   I give my pianos a "bath" about 
every two years.  It's cheap and affective. [EFfective - BH, editor, etc.]
