Hi Don, I replaced the pinblock in a 1923 Bluthner 6'4" here in spring. I've recorded the original string scale (measured) alongside your numbers, along with the aliquot string-size, below. Sorry I can't verify from the notches, as they're re-cut. I also fit a new block to a "model 6" at the Banff Centre in June. Will be flying there Sunday (Dec. 4th) and working (hopefully not another Bluthner block, yipes!) until the 18th, so if you want some numbers from that instrument, let me know. (same e-address) Nice to hear from you Don. Best regards, Mark Cramer, Brandon University - The following is the size marked on the bridge: Notes Size (1923 scale) 27-28 20 1/2 27 (1) 29-30 20 28-29 (2) 31-32 19 1/2 30-31 (2) 33-34 19 32-33 (2) 35-36 18 1/2 34-35 (2) 37-38 18 36-37 (2) 39-40 17 1/2 38-39 (2) 41-43 17 40-41 (2) 44-46 16 1/2 42-44 (3) 47-49 16 45-47 (3) 50-56 15 1/2 48-50 (3) 57-71 15 51-58 (8) 72-79 14 1/2 59-72 (14) 80-88 14 73-80 (8) 13.5 81-88 (8) Aliquot: 47-52 13 53-58 12.5 59-71 10.5 72-85 13 86-88 12.5 Might anyone have a scale for this piano they are willing to share? I have been thinking about trying the Parsons string scaling program. Anyone have experience with this program and can recommend it?
