Story from my years in New Orleans, part one: I have a new customer. As I begin tuning, a parakeet begins jabbering. Gradually I understand what it's saying: "Oh. my pretty little boy, my pretty boy, my sweet blue boy, my pretty boy. Oh, you dirty little bird! Shame on you, you dirty bird!"
Try setting unisons to that song.
The husband comes in: "Yeah, my wife and that bird, they have this thing going. He likes to ride her hands while she plays. He gets a bit excited, if you know what I mean."

Part two: Six months later I get a phone message cancelling the return tuning.

Part three: A year later I run into the husband in a coffee shop: "Yeah, my wife doesn't play any more. The parakeet died. Once in a while she sits down to play, but just gets too teary to go on."

Love comes in many forms, and in New Orleans, you're sure to meet them all!
