Piano technician friends,

Thank you for your concern.

Lot's of damage in our area (70mi inland). Our home is minor damage only,
across the street from me the house will have to be demolished and replaced.
I left town as soon as I could saw my way out (Wen. Augus 31). Just
returned. Our Southen Miss coast campus is almost destroyed but no damage to
our Music department in Hattiesburg, MS. I have heard that our old Baldwin
SD-10 on the coast is upside down in the parking lot. I'M sure I'll get to
see it somtime, maybe I can get a picture out.

We are fine. No damage to the house. Lots of leaves and small branches in
the yard. Lost power for 26 hours from Monday night to Tuesday. Also lost
the phone for a couple of hours on Tuesday. Lots of trees down in the
T'cloosa area, but the power company is great. No Cable yet, but that's a
minor inconvenience. School was canceled Monday afternoon and Tuesday.

Any word from Lonnie Young at Southern Mississippi in Hattisburg? What about
Charlotte Eschman?

My prayers to everyone down in New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast
area.
