There are a few of us that do scaling work for others. Smaller=20
core diameters and double wrapped monochords help. Building=20
the bass bridge a few millimeters taller and putting in=20
vertical (horizontal) hitches would likely help too. The hitch=20
change would give you the best flexibility, and some=20
prospecting room setting string bearing.
