I'll amen what Chris was saying. The only thing my glue pot does is take up space on my shelf. Titebond Trim and Molding glue for hammers, PVC-E for key bushings and damper felt etc. Before you say anything, PVC-E comes off key bushings much more quickly than hide glue. I know hide glue is strong, doesn't creep etc. but we're not building the Brooklyn Bridge here. I'd get out the dusty glue pot if I were putting rims together, but everything I do here doesn't require that kind of strength. Flame suit cleaned, pressed and buttoned up tight! dp David M. List, I don't know why you all use this sticky old stuff for hammers anyway. Tite-bond Molding Glue doesn't drip, makes a nice clear when dry collar, doesn't fail, is easy to remove, and did I mention it doesn't stink. OH and you can get it from Pianotek too.
