      I would vote for a foreign object, (no, I don't mean the French 
complaining about us).  I once had a customer with a "ghost" sound comin from the top 
end and I found a paper-clip hanging on the upper capo section string.  
      Maybe something that was balancing on the bridge pins, like a pencil or 
toy?
