[CAUT] Storing spare bass strings

Don't forget a few spare keytops, or ivory replacements.  That's quite a 
headache if one is missing before a concert.

Dan Levitan generously shared with us at N. Bennet St. some of his tips for 
city tuning (i.e. carrying a backpack).  One great tip was to put a spare 
piece of music wire, precut, in an empty CD case.  Subtract ten from the 
wire gauge when precutting: size 13 wire will not be longer than three feet, 
size 16 needs only be a maximum of six feet long, etc.  This tip came from 
another tech who measured string lengths on a D.
