Hi Jeannie,

Acetone, denatured alcohol and mineral spirits are solvents for
polyurethane adhesives. They are very useful in cleaning up excess adhesive
from joints before the adhesive has cured as well as, removing the adhesive
from the skin and other surfaces.

They can also be used to thin the "thickened" glue--mineral spirits are
probably safer than the acetone for this purpose.

It is an all purpose polyurethane wood glue which is catalyzed by moisture.
Once cured it is totally resistant to solvents yet excess can be easily
removed with a scraper, chisel or sandpaper.
