Alan, Had the same problem here several years ago, and ultimately bought something from Pianotek or Schaff--I no longer remember which--that was as close as possible to spec, and filed the sides slightly to fit the pedal box. The originals were brushed brass, so there was no problem with finish, but it is true that nothing in the current supplier catalogues is exactly right. Many years ago Dan Gurnee, my predecessor here, actually made a plaster of paris mold of the outer shape of good M&H pedal. With the worn pedal sitting in the mold and the entire thing upside down, he brazed the missing material back in place, then ground and polished the top surface for a very serviceable result. If you have the skill to do it, it is one way to go. I need to replace worn pedals on some of our M&H - A grands in practice rooms. The current factory production pedals aren't the same size. The Schaff and Pianotek catalogs don't have exactly what I'm looking for (and nothing even close in nickle finish). Has anyone found a good source for these recently? Regards, Alan B.
