I did read the article.. and with interest... especially since I had an
idea of my own I put up a couple years back that I'll write a separate
post on.
All this is nice and dandy... but what about the Resonator itself... ?
and what about that smallish 1 by 0.5 peice of sugar pine or spruce that
connects the rim to the belly rail ? I'd kinda like some feedback on
the original queries as well... tho all this led to some nice stuff mind
you.

Hi Ric,
Well, you might take a look at the August issue of the Journal and test for
weights or riblets on the soundboard. Or have you already tried that out?
Remember that big 'ol Seiler grand I was wrassling with a couple years years
ago? In October it's going to get at least one weight or riblet in the 6th
octave which is wimpy. I tested by clamping my small Vise-Grips on the
bridge pins and the sound came right up.
