[CAUT] punched soundboard

If all you want to do is cosmetic, it won't take much. But will that put the soundboard back to its original condition? I would presume not. Could this damage be considered vandalism beyond repair, and for the piano to be "totaled"?

Discovered this morning, Yamaha U1 in the band/orchestra room; was a very nice piano until this.?
?
Looks like it met with the business end of a hammer, or a percussionist's mallet, perhaps.?
?
What would _you_ tell an insurance company about what it would take to do a cosmetically pleasing repair??
