NIce job but the SW would first have to follow the Stanwood protocol to have relevance to the topic. Shank radius weight is different from dead weight. When SW is mentioned, the range is 1.5 g to 2.2 g. Was the timber quantified by a dead-drop or a friction affected drop. As far a thinning to control tone, might it be similar to organ reeds where you remove material from the end to raise the pitch and from the bass to lower it. -- Regards, Jon Page
