I don't know about Les but I actually left Houston last Wednesday AM while Ike was not even forcast to hit Houston. Came to my sister's place in Bedford, between Dallas & Ft. Worth. Now, I'm VERY glad I did! <grin> Even though almost all of Houston with above ground transmission wires lost power, my condo complex only lost power about 5 times last night (Friday) for no more than 1-2 minutes each time while Ike was going through! It may be weeks before power is totally restored to everyone all the way down to Galveston. I'm going back home as soon as the streets there are safe to do so, since I know I have power. Maybe Sunday, but probably Monday. Hope Les & all the others along the Gulf Coast are safe, too! That blasted thing was app. 600 miles wide! Huge! Thanks for asking.
