Is U of I an "All Steinway School?" If not, you might consider using
Abel hammers.

If so, well, you better stick to the "genuine" hammers.

Steinway is out of hamburg d hammers for the next few months, due to
factory slowdown in hamburg. Anyone happen to have a spare set of
unbored hamburg d hammers they could "lend" or sell?
