Hi Susan I liked the .... "Oh, five-fiteen or five-thirty ..." bit ! very funny indeed. I'll send along your regards to Eric. He talks of Canada a lot really, often in context of the backyard observatory he had out there, and often about his piano work at the University. I'm sure he'll be glad you said hello. FWIW, he's enjoying life to the fullest here in Norway. Hard not too really, we are virtually untouched by the financial woes of the world, the country is among the least polluted anywhere and sports some of the loveliest natural wonders to be found on the planet. About the only real hangup is that they speak Norwegian here :):) btw on the 1st of June at 19:30 Bergen Time (thats +1 gmt) Håvard Gimse will be playing a Schubert concert on that same instrument. Henning Kraggerud on violin will be joining him for part of the concert. For a program in english look at http://www.fib.no/ticketen/display.aspx?menuid=801&prodid=149 The piano, its tuning and its voicing along with the sound work the NRK boys manage will be naked, so to speak, to the discerning ear. He wants it really round and beautiful... capable of quite whisperish ppp sounds. We'll see how it works out. Eric is on at Grieghallen tonite. Leif Ove Andsnes and Mattias Goerne. http://www.fib.no/ticketen/display.aspx?menuid=830&prodid=139 Unfortunately, they are not going live on this concert. If it comes up at a later date I'll let you know. Cheers RicB
