The almost universal concern I've heard is "How can I possibly exactly 
center the hole on the second pass?" Fact is, you'd have to do something 
borderline insane to prevent it from centering. It's nearly unavoidable. 
I stole the idea from the machinists, who have been doing it for 
hundreds of years to pretty good effect. Besides being by far the most 
accurate method I've ever found, it can be done with the least 
sophisticated tooling and methods, and is highly idiot resistant to 
boot. So it meets all the standard requirements for use in my shop.
