So do I owe royalties?

Actually it has been useful, and generally respected. Thanks! I think I changed it a bit, but I'm no longer sure. Have you changed it any?

Maybe CAUT, or the CAUT committee might come up with one that we could endorse?

FWIW, I am the one that wrote that original policy.  I sent it to the CAUT  list years ago and I get tickled to see it pop up here now and again.  My fifteen minutes of fame I guess.  As far as implementing the policy, I have been blessed with directors and department chairs that support me so it has been effective.
