 The upside is they hold up. Its important to put the slick or thesmooth side against the pin.  I can't recall which....at thismoment.... which it is.

Hi Dale,
                 I took this to mean you were putting the tan side to the pin.  Nobig deal Bossendorfer has done this for years, they squeak in our dryclimate, but the they function well.
My experience doing it the reverse way round with Teflon powder fixes theproblem.
