If you slice of the cheek, you will also need to add wood to the slip, otherwise the slip will hit the front of the keys.   WIm </BLOCKQUOTE> Not at all, Wim.  You take a slice out of the lower half of the front of the cheek, and then add a block of the same shape to the inside of the keyslip.  Of course, this will result in the keyslip fitting tight against the cheek.  If that’s a problem, that’s what 1/16” and 1/32” hobby birch plywood is for.  Best shim stock in the free world.
