scraps from Tandy and there are various sizes, etc. It can’t be too
hard/thick or too thin/soft. Not as thick as shoe leather and not as soft as

What sort of leather do you use? Something not too thick, and quite
flexible, I suppose. Would it be something like the gasket leather I get
