<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">The book "Skiing From the Head
Down" is also excellent. I forget the author at the moment,
but I read it in the 80's and had no further fear of Black Diamonds. I
even looked for big mogels on purpose!! Enjoy the snow when you get
there!!</font>

<br><font size=2><tt>Hi Wim,<br>
<br>
I just saw Denver's 3 feet of snow on CNN, hope you can get there soon.<br>
<br>
I recommend you make the short trip to Chris Finger's store in Niwot (a
few minutes from Boulder), it's one of the nicest piano stores I've ever
seen.<br>
<br>
The real "gem" of course is his technician; Barth Story,.. a
quiet source of experience and knowledge.<br>
<br>
You might also call chapter pres. (and my very good freind) Trevor Nelson
for a coffee, also a valuable resource of skills, curiousity and endless
discovery.<br>
<br>
BTW, last year "Mike" the ski instructor who talked me down from
a double black diamond slope here in Banff ("am I still on the green
run, I asked?" ;>) recommended a great book... "Breakthrough
on the new skis."<br>
<br>
I spent my first week reading it before heading back to the fresh powder
at Sunshine Village. It really helped, I was "master" of the
beginner runs (greens) and even took on a few blue runs just for the "smug
factor."<br>
<br>
If you change your mind about ski-ing (afterall you're in ski-Mecca in
Co.) a brief lesson and/or a good ski-book can do wonders.<br>
<br>
The downside, with all the new bindings/release hardware, apparently broken
limbs are almost a thing of the past... so, no cast... no ski-bunnies to
sign it for you! ;>) <br>
<br>
As for you Marcel, I'm seeing Quebecors out on the golf course... in December...
I'm the one whose jealous!<br>
<br>
best regards and happy holidays all!<br>

It's really too bad you don't ski Wim. I do and we don't have snow yet<br>
in Québec. I'm jalous of the snow situation around Denver...<br>
