<html>Hello, My name is Chris Rawson, I am a graduate of The University of Western Ontario Piano Technology Program, and a Registered Piano Technician with the PTG.  <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> Tom McNeil told me there was some discussion on this sight and that there were some questions about this new part for the piano posted here.  If you haven't yet seen my part, you can go to ebay.com and type key leveling in the search box.  This product is legally protected, so I can answer any questions you have about what it is, how it works, why it works, even how it is made.  To whom it may concern,  Key leveling tabs are not made of plastic, and I hope they never will be.   They are made from paper, and the manufacturer of the self adhesive paper I use tells me that the adhesive is a permanent acrylic adhesive, and is permanent as long as it is not exposed to UV sunlight for an extended period.   As to concerns about curling, I have tried heating them up with a hair dryer among other things.  They curled upward, but when I removed the heat, they flattened back out again on their own within minutes, and did not delaminate.   I have had several tabs go through the washing machine and survive, however I do not recommend cleaning them this way. About posting them on Ebay, I don’t intend to leave them on Ebay very long, I could not get my website up and running in time for the MARC, and Ebay was the fastest way to test the waters and post pictures.  I will have better pictures when I get my website up.</html>
