<DIV><B>The Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia</B> seeks
applications for a<B> full-time staff piano technician position</B> beginning
July 28, 2008.</DIV>

style="COLOR: black"><B>Responsibilities: </B>Serve as one of two full-time
piano technicians responsible for the tuning, maintenance, voicing, regulation,
repair, and rebuilding of pianos utilized by the institution; the tuning,
repair, and maintenance of harpsichords; and other related duties as assigned by
the Director or Associate Director. On the average, the position requires forty
hours weekly but not always at regularly set times. During the summer months,
time will be spent restoring and providing major maintenance work. Tuning is
required for a concert series that in the past has featured artists such as
</SPAN><SPAN>Garrick Ohlsson, André Watts, Claude Frank, Phillippe Entremont,
Misha Dichter, etc. <SPAN style="COLOR: black">The work requires considerable
independent judgment and creativity, and is reviewed through observation of
results, inspections, and personal
conferences.</SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></DIV>
<DIV class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="COLOR: black"><B></B></SPAN> </DIV>

style="COLOR: black"><B>Qualifications: </B>Extensive experience in
all aspects of piano tuning, repair, maintenance, and rebuilding; skill in
voicing and regulating Steinway grand pianos; ability to tune, maintain, and
repair harpsichords. Preference will be given to Registered Piano
Technicians at the Examiner level.</SPAN></DIV>

about 100,000 and two highly rated hospitals. Athens is 65 miles from downtown
Atlanta and 80 miles from the Atlanta airport. The University of Georgia enrolls
about 32,000 students.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The Hugh
Hodgson School of Music, Georgia’s first All-Steinway School, has about 450
music majors. The music building and performance halls were opened in 1995.
The large office for the two full-time piano technicians is on the fourth floor
of the music building.<B></B></SPAN></DIV>
