That's how this all began - way back in 1987. There were about a dozen of us in those earliest days. Most CAUTs did not have computers then and the CAUT committee continued to mail out a nice multi-page quarterly newsletter for the next couple years. <br/><br/>The original CAUT list was hosted on the mainframe computer at SUNY Fredonia where I worked. When our list grew to a few dozen the computer services department politely asked us to take our business elsewhere. We were using too much computer resources! We then accepted the gracious invitation from BYU to host the list on their state-of-the-art computer system.
