<html> <body> Barbara, I've used an undercover and there is no apparent sonic impact.  There isn't supposed to be any.  It is stretchy, black, and covers things up nicely.  At a distance people will not be able to discern that it is "lumpy" because of the DC equipment.  I would do the undercover for that reason alone, the additional benefit of isolating the climate there from air-currents is just icing on the cake IMHO.
