<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2>Since you're taking this so seriously (!!!), I'd better clarify:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2>-First bed the action in the piano the usual way, and take 5 careful measurements of natural key height.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2>-Then put the action on the bench and "bed the bench to the action." Press and tap the action rails, looking for knocking or movement (checking the key height measurements). Insert index cards as needed under the glide bolts or rails to take up any gaps. Mark the position of the action with masking tape, and tape the cards in place.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2>-If you don't do this, the go bars can warp the action enough to give some strange results.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2>-I prefer to place the go bars over the screw holes in the brackets, but this may not always be possible.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif" size=2>-Fine regulation will need to be finished with the action screwed down as usual, and checked and probably refined in the piano.</FONT></DIV>
