It needs a bit of regulation & voicing, but otherwise seems fairly decent. It's rather plain, but the finish is in good shape. The donor is looking for some kind of receipt on it. Any ideas as to what it's worth? (Harpsichord haters need not respond unless your cynicism cannot be restrained....but make it good.)
Margaret Hood <HOOD@UWPLATT.EDU (Work)> will be a wealth of info. She is from UW-Platteville. Specializes in Viennese fortepianos. If you are in Chicago next week she will be teaching a class.
Also Ed Kottick from Iowa City will also be teaching in Chicago and is well informed on harpsichords. Check out his web page for a connection to the HOG. Search Yahoo for his and other web pages.
Good to hear you’re pulling strings at a U. Check out the CAUT symposium for Pianos in Academia.
OK, commercial over.
