<DIV>Wim, At the four schools we contract with all pianos have climate =
control
systems installed and maintained twice a year. All the pianos (87 of =
them) are
tuned four times per year Late August, early November, mid January and =
mid
March. Some are tuned additionally for concerts, masrter classes and =
recording
sessions as often as daily, and occassionally by request. =
Sometimes it
is not enough to possess and practice adequate or even superior skills,
sometimes we have to hear what is not being said or played. Best of luck =

as to how often their pianos should be tuned. They want to know why =
their
pianos need tuning once a week. (and they do need it, especially =
during the
winter). One of the professors claims that at another university she =
worked
at, her piano lasted 8 weeks. </DIV>
