Has anyone ever considered eliminating the hinges all together, and just
gluing the front part to the fall board? Maybe even putting in dowels for

I imagine this folding fallboard edge has three purposes:<br>

Cover the front of the keys when closed<br>
<br>
Not be 'in the way' of dramatic players<br>
<br>
Not cast a shadow on the keyboard.<br>
