Hi Scott,

Do you use a tuning fork to start your temperment?  When I first learned
to tune, I used a small tuner that I got for about $55.  It is accurate to
about 1 cent and supposedly uses perfect thirds to set up the temperment.
It can not handle different sizes of pianos like my PT100 can.  quite a few
of the tuners here use it.
