Greetings to all, For those of you interested in the computer software thread - a note about DOS programs running under Windows. It IS possible to copy information from a DOS program to the Windows clipboard, and then paste it into ANY other application. The procedure is as follows (assuming that Windows is running the DOS program) : 1. Make sure that the DOS program is running in a (DOS) window. To achieve this is to press ALT and ENTER simultaneously when the DOS program is active (i.e. when the whole screen is taken up by the DOS program). You should now see the DOS program running in a sizable window. 2. Click on the little box in the TOP LEFT hand corner of the DOS window. A drop-down menu will appear. 3. Select "EDIT" and then "Mark", and then use the mouse to select the information to be copied to the clipboard. 4. Click on the same little box again and select "EDIT" and then "Copy". 5. The information is now on the clipboard, and can be pasted into any Windows program (or other DOS programs if they are running in a window - see below). 6. Information can be pasted back to DOS programs from either Windows or other DOS programs in a similar way : make sure the DOS program is running in a window and the cursor is where you want the insert and click on the little box again. This time select "EDIT" followed by "Paste" and presto the info is pasted into your DOS application.
