String length!! The Klavins 370 upright (1988) stands a whopping
 12' 1 1/2" tall,
and there is a platform to climb onto to play the critter. It is straight
strung, with a #1 bass string length close to 10'. The inharmonicity is
substantially reduced with this construction, as one would expect. In
Crombie's book, he also points out that there is a recording of the
Klavins 370 with Michael Ponti performing Mussorgsky, Chopin and Liszt.
It (the recording) is available from Klavins Music, (their own label),
Bergstr. 27A, 5210 Tdf. Bergheim, Germany.
