Rob, Dave and the rest: I have seen a program on public television that had a 15 minute clip on this piano. To see it in a book is one thing but you must have a listen to it! It was quite a strange sounding instrument!? I don't recall if I saw it on PBS, or CKVU 13 in Vancouver. It could have been on one of the Seattle public stations.
