Bill,

Just one thing occured to me...its and either damper on or off set
up as you describe....i'd like to see a more sensitive pedal option...
that could say with head position be....dampers slightly off, 1/4 off
1/2 off, and full off (i.e. from the strings)....you should also be able to
regulate dampers on slowly or quickley....[and also maybe even
another for the shift pedal(grand) or soft pedal (upright)....] but then
this would really add to the engineering....so the switching would
take its cues from the head position..and maybe the speed you back
off....i think it would be doable...and with a pneumatic motor or staged
motor you wouldn't burn it out....simple magnet switches for each
stage of the pneumatic would opperate....all in a soundproof box w/
quiet pneumatic blower???

well...just a thought....player piano technology/ or pipe organ technology
put to work for this application

good luck,
