Bob, I have in my hands a great product called "Goof Off" and it takes off
candle wax, marker & pen ink, crayon, lipstick (not recommended for use on
your lips!) and much more. It can be used on fully cured varnished & oil
based painted surfaces, solid vinyl upholstery & baseboards, fiberglass,
wood and numerous other places. It cautions that it can damage many plastics
and some automotive paints. Test in an inconspicuous place 1st.

I picked up my 5 oz. can in a local hardware store. Hope this helps you.
