I have had a similar experience at the University of Richmond. If your
Physical Plant guys can give you a space that is GUAUANTEEEEED to not
flucuate much beyond 40---50% RH. It will be a real blessing. Especially for
the piano. If you tune it every 2 weeks or so after a while you should have
an extreeeeemly solid instrument.. Ther harpischord is another matter. Just
remember Murphy's Law and also rememmber that it would be a lot worse if
there were no humidity control/
