voicing question

This may be a fairly simple question, but do the number of needles used at
one time make a difference in regard to the end result in ways other then
speed? If I accept that using one needle in a voicing tool means the job
takes two or three times longer, am I also losing some other (tonal) benefit?

Also, does the speed with which one inserts a needle have an effect beyond
being easier to penetrate deeply into the felt with a quick jab?

Thanks in advance for any help.
