Hi Ron,

Why move it to the PTG list? Do the PTG set minimum workshop prices.

Pricing policies affect us all whether we are members of an organization
or not. Over here we do set minimum prices and we expect all members to
adhere to them I believe that it is illegal in America to set minimum
prices or is this another misconception we have ogf the U.S.

Dale in my opinion is correct in over estimating for something he is
unsure of. Personally I recondition bird cage Pianos (I must admit I
love your descriptilon of overdampers) all the time and I find them a
easy. However, if a custo9mer phoned me up tomorrow and asked me to
restore her velem hinged wall climber I would difinitely over estimate
the cost, as I know what a can of worms some of these pianos can be only
having fully restored two Broadwood wall climbers I am not confident
enough to give a straightforward estimate.

Remember gentlemen and Ladies we came in to this profession to make a
_profit_ from servicing pianos.

Kind regards,

Barrie.
